We have been notified of a planned sporting development in Tadcaster which might be beneficial to our children. Tadcaster Magnets Sports Club (located on London Road – towards Sherburn in Elmet) have become a registered charity and changed their name to Tadcaster Community Sports Trust. Along with a number of stakeholders they have ambitious plans to develop the land they currently own and extend on the land that reaches the A64. Within the plans, there will be:
- Increased Grass Pitches for Football and other grass surface sports.
- A multi surface floodlit pitch
- A trim trail path suitable for walking, running, cycling (along with off road sections to test bike skills)
- Learn to ride bike area.
- Nature areas with Picnic Tables.
- Netball/Tennis courts
- Cricket Pitch and training nets
- Children’s Play ground
- Café and Indoor Space
