New District Policy on Make-Up Days
Our Vision
Engaging, Enriching, and Empowering All Students through a World-Class Education
Flexible Make-Up Days
Moving forward, when schools are closed due to an emergency, the Middle School and High School students will make up those days via blended learning models. Students in grades 6-12 have a district-issued device they can use to access BlackBoard, or Google Classroom for instructional materials from their teachers. We are implementing this program to keep up with the age in which technology removes restrictions on when and where learning can occur. It is also important to optimize instructional time throughout the year before Advanced Placement, and state-wide assessments are given. Please contact the Assistant Superintendent if you have any questions about this new program.
Philosophy
We can often learn as much from our students as we try to teach them. It is important that we tap into their technological skills to meet their needs as learners. Students will benefit greatly from reducing the disruption to our instructional programming. Teachers will also collect feedback from students so we can understand from them what helps the most. We want our students to see value and relevance in the work they do.
Our Mission
The New Hope-Solebury School District takes pride in its commitment to excellence. We strive to inspire and empower our students to become passionate, confident, life-long learners, with the skills and strength of character to contribute to a diverse and ever-changing world.
