From the Principal's desk…
For those of you who are unaware I am very excited to announce that I have accepted the
substantive Principal position at Healesville Primary School. I have loved working here and am really happy to have the opportunity to continue. Everyone has made me feel so welcome and for that I thank you. The staff and I are very keen to make this the school of choice for Healesville and the surrounding areas.
Production week – WOW! How amazing are our students and teachers? The talent that has been on display this week has been truly incredible. All students should be very proud of their achievements – I know the teachers are. Thank you also to our school community for supporting this wonderful production.
Supporting the Farming Community - A free dress day – Dress as a farmer has been organised for Friday13th September. This is a gold coin donation and all money received will be given to support our drought stricken farmers.
NAPLAN reports have arrived and will be going home with our grade three and five students today. Well done to all our students.
Thank you to the school community for understanding and following the new procedures with the drop off and pick up zone. It was not a school decision as this has come through from the council. Please be aware that they will fine you if you park in the designated bus zone.
This week I met with our JSC (Junior School Council) to organise clubs that we will be running in the Library in fourth term. It was great to hear all of their ideas and see their enthusiasm to open this space at lunchtime. Once the students have decided which clubs will operate on which days I will let you know.
