In addition, if the Chromebook is lost or stolen, it will be disabled (making it not usable) as soon as the loss is reported to the school. Please review the following documents with your student regarding the rules and care of their Chromebook. These documents can be viewed via the links below or at www.chicousd.org .
- 2017-18 Student/Parent Chromebook Agreement signature page
- Students will be receiving a paper copy of the 2017-18 Student/Parent Chromebook Agreement signature page. This form needs to be signed and returned to your student’s teacher. Your student will not receive a Chico Unified School District issued Chromebook without a signed (both parent and student) “Chromebook agreement signature page”.

ATTENTION, STUDENTS!
STEM GIRL MAYHEM
On February 3rd, Chico State hosted STEM Girl Mayhem, a fun-filled, learning-filled, inspiration-filled day for middle school girls (grades 6-8) to see first-hand just a few of the possibilities for a future in the field of SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING & MATH.
A group of incredible STEM professionals shared their passion for their careers and fields of study and provided insight into their chosen fields. Girls rotated through three Exploration Stations throughout the day, as well as sharing a special lunch session with a panel from Lulus.com.
i-READY REPORTS & SUPPORT
A couple weeks ago your son or daughter took the i-Ready diagnostic in both reading and math. Students take this test 3 times a year, and it helps us identify areas of strengths and weaknesses. We are making a concerted effort this year to make sure your child’s data gets back to you. Please help us verify that your child shared their data reports with you by signing the signature page they'll bring home with their score reports. Math and English teachers will be checking to make sure the reports have been seen.
If you notice that your child is 2 or more grade levels below in both Math and Reading, please know that they will be placed in an intervention class during Primetime to get some extra support. If your student is below by only 1 grade level, or 2 or more grade levels below in either Math or Reading, we are excited to offer an after school i-Ready class on Mondays and Thursdays in the Tech Lab with one of our teachers. You can also support your student by having them work on i-Ready from home for 45 minutes a week per subject. Go to: https://clever.com/in/chicousd to log in at home.
To receive more information about the after school i-Ready class, or to sign your student up for it, you may contact your student's counselor or the teacher hosting the sessions, Ms. Berg (kberg@chicousd.org).
