SHS Marching Band meeting
You're invited to the Springville High Marching Band information meeting on Monday, March 18th at 6:30pm in the SHS Band room. Come and get information regarding the marching band program, see the calendar, get a tentative cost, meet the director and staff and ask questions! Parents and students should both attend. SHS Girls Volleyball summer info meeting
Monday, March 18th, in the the Cafeteria for all upcoming 9-12th grade girls and their parents.
SHS Drill Team Tryouts
March 18th and 19th are tryouts dates from SHS Drill team. March 18 is a mandatory tryout clinic starting at 4pm in the SHS Main Gym. Tryouts continue on March 19th at 4pm also in the SHS Main Gym. Please email lyndsey.ashdown@nebo.edu with any questions.
SHS Chamber Choir to perform "Illuminare"
Springville High School Chamber Singers will be joining Maple Mountain High School Choirs, and the Intermountain Chamber Artists and Symphony Orchestra to present "Illuminare" by Elaine Hagenberg. Dr. Cory Mendenhall and Dr. Austin Thorpe conducting. Tuesday, March 19th, at 7pm at Libby Gardner Hall at the University of Utah. (1375 Presidents Circle, SLC, UT). Admission is free.
Junior ACT Test Day
Wednesday, March 20th is ACT test day for Juniors. No school for Seniors and Sophomores. Please check the email from the school for more information.
Winter Guard Review
The SHS Winter Guard Review is scheduled for March 21st at 6pm in the SHS Main Gym.
Band Auditions coming soon!
Auditions for the Windy Symphony and Jazz Band are due on March 22nd at midnight. Please scan the QR code for more info. Jazz Band is looking for guitarists, bass players, drumset players, pianists and vocalists! The Marching Band info meeting with be held on March 18th at 6:30pm in the SHS Band Room.
Walking at Graduation
Seniors! Walking at graduation is based on your 4th term detention hours. Students should have 5 or less detention hours for 4th term to walk at graduation. Be in class, learn, and finish strong!

SHS Cheer Tryouts
For those interested in joining the SHS Cheer team, tryouts will be held March 26-28th.
Dance Company Tryouts
Calling all dancer! Information packets are available in the front office. A live application link is available in the Instagram bio @springvilledancecompany. A parent meeting will be held April 15th at 7pm in the Dance room. Clinics will be held April 22 and 23, with auditions on April 24.
Football Information meeting
The Football information meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 26th, at 6pm in the Cafeteria. This meeting is for all incoming 10-12 grade players and their parents.
Boys and Girls State
Juniors! Applications are now open for both Utah Boys State and Utah Girls State. These are week-long summer college programs where students can learn about our Constitutional government. This is held at Weber State University during the first 2 weeks of June (Girls State is June 2-7 and Boys State is June 9-15). Students and their families are expected to pay their own way and the cost covers food for the week, housing, a t-shirt and a 3 college credit class.

Boys State: Visit their website (www.utahboysstate.org) and access the application portal there.
Girls State: Copy the linked application (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aR7fQCYr5-bLOkC-2-TwcPEeuHRP7ffwfoBCOY9a-O8/edit?usp=sharing), fill it out and turn it in to Mr. Johnson in the counseling office.

All skill levels are welcome to Crochet Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch in G-1. Yarn is provided. Bring your lunch and come and learn.

People of the Pacific class
This is a new elective course that will be offered here at SHS starting 2024-2025. This semester course will be offered to 10, 11, and 12 grade students. The People of the Pacific curriculum prepares students to be leaders and stewards of success within their communities, higher education institutions, professional networks, and with their families by focusing on the rich culture of the Pacific Island people throughout the course. Free Online Workshop for parents of children with neurodiversities
Transitioning to Middle school, Jr High, and High School? What to expect as your child moves from Elementary and beyond. How can you ease your child's anxiety with transitioning? How does the IEP/504 plan function in the new school? What are the student expectations on the secondary level? The transitions from elementary to middle school/ jr high and high school can create anxiety for all students and parents, especially those receiving special education services.
