What Will We Be Learning This Week?
Math
We will continue our study of measurement. Students will learn the Customary Units of Measure for length, weight and volume. We will also begin to discuss the Metric System.
Science
We will continue our unit on Animals and Animal Adaptations. We are hoping to have some live animals join us in the classroom for observations!

April 29th - Special Events
Heritage Day – Students are busy researching the continent of Europe and creating projects that will be presented on Heritage Day. Thank you so much to those of you who donated presentation boards! We had an overwhelming response from our families and we appreciate your generosity. J
PTO Evening Event – Blackburn’s PTO will be holding an evening event on Friday, April 29th from 6-8pm. Mrs. Schlegenhauf and Mrs. Akroyd are planning performances/displays for the evening and students will have the opportunity to purchase and decorate a ‘TILE’ that will forever be a part of Blackburn’s Tile Wall. There will be more details to come! Please mark your calendars for this event.
