This is an excellent opportunity to actively contribute to our school, shape the direction of our initiatives, and foster a positive impact on our students' educational journey.

Summer School FYI
Chardon Schools will hold summer school in June. Third grade testing will follow for any students who have not passed the required score for the AIR test. Stay tuned for more information!
Infinite Campus Annual Update
The Annual Update must be completed by ALL Chardon Local Schools households every year, for every student, even if there are no changes. This ensures that we have the most accurate information for your student and household. This helps us to contact you promptly in case of an emergency, allows you to pay for student meals and school fees online, and gives you access to important forms and documents, including report cards. We need your updated information as soon as possible! Please find Annual Update instructions HERE.

First Grade Music Concert - April 16!
SAVE THE DATE! The first grade spring concert will be on Tuesday, April 16! Munson's first graders will perform from 6-6:30pm. Click HERE for all the important details about the concert, and check your first grader's folder for the song packets to practice at home!

Chardon Goes to the Musicals!
Chardon Local Schools is excited to announce ticket sales for Back to the Future and MJ. Money is due to Crescendo Club via Elizabeth Fullerman by Tuesday, April 16. Tickets will be distributed prior to the end of school.
Cleveland's own Playhouse Square is the second-largest theater district outside of Broadway. Over the years, Chardon Goes to the Musicals has sold hundreds of tickets. A reminder - this is not a fundraiser, but simply a way for community members to obtain tickets at discounted prices.
Title I
Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Educational Act (ESEA) provides students who qualify with extra instructional services and activities beyond regular classroom instruction. Click HERE for more information about the Title I program, and reach out to the school with any questions.
Lost & Found
We still have a collection of lost clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles, snow gear, etc.! Please ask your children to stop and check the lost & found in the main hallway for any items that might belong to them. Also, PLEASE LABEL ALL YOUR STUDENT'S ITEMS (including winter bags and all gear) with their names so that we can help return them to their owners! Thank you!
Please return any clothes your child has borrowed from school this year to the clinic or office. This is also a great time to get back in the habit of bringing EXTRA CLOTHING AND SHOES to school! You can keep them in backpacks or leave them in a cubby at school. The playground gets VERY muddy this time of year! Thank you!
K-12 Monthly Pledge Contest
Student leadership opportunity! Would your K-12 student like to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at a Board of Education meeting? Student leaders gain practice at public speaking, meet the Superintendent and Board President, and earn a Portrait of a Hilltopper certificate. Click HERE to enter our monthly contest for a chance to win!
Stay Safe. Speak UP!

Munson Staff Spotlight
Each week, the Munson Messenger will feature a Munson staff member with whom your child likely interacts regularly. We hope this gives you a chance to get to know more of our wonderful staff members! This week, meet Mrs. Cline!
What is your job? I work in the office as the Clerical Assistant!
How long have you been at Munson? This is my second year working here, and I was also a student at Munson from kindergarten to 5th grade! Fun fact - when I was a 5th grader, I was a Munson Messenger assistant. I helped the office put together the Munson Messenger newsletter every week. Now, I get to write it!
What is your favorite thing about Munson? The kids and staff! Munson is such a warm, welcoming community. Everyone works together, gives their best effort, and supports each other!
What do you like to do outside of school? I love to be with my family! I also like watching sports, reading books, riding my Peloton bike and running, and going to the beach when the weather is nice!
