Coatesville Area Senior High School
Monday Message - Issue 31 April 1, 2024
4th Marking Period Begins on Wednesday, April 3, 2024
The 4th marking period begins this Wednesay, April 3, 2024. Please take the time to discuss with your child the importance for students to finish the school year strong by making the 4th marking period the best of the school year. Attending school daily and reporting to each class on time is critical for students to achieve academically. Students should also be aware of their average through the first three marking periods (including the mid term exam) and to communicate with each of their teachers as to what is needed for the 4th Marking Period and Final exam needed for whatever final grade is desired. In order to assist in this process, please use the chart below as a guide on what grades are needed for the remainder of the school year.
SAFETY REMINDERS for Students
As we move into the 4th marking period and in addition to discussing the academic performance reminders above, please also take a few minutes to remind your child of the following safety reminders.
Students SHOULD NOT open any exterior doors for others students (known or unknown) as well as adults. Anyone arriving to school after the cafeteria side doors close in AM must use the main entrance of the building. Seniors who arrive to school for Senior Privlege must park in the student lot and walk around to the main entrance. Seniors with early release will be monitored upon exiting the building and should use door #20 to exit the building and not allow anyone into the building while exiting.
Parents/Guardians - please discuss the importance of students knowing what is in their possession at ALL TIMES (this includes in vehicles for student drivers). Students were informed prior to break that CASH will be holding additional searches after spring break similar to the one held in December with drug sniffing dogs. All searches will be in accordance with our CASD Board Policy 226 - Searches and will be held to protect and preserve the health, safety and welfare of the School population. Please take the time to periodically check your child's belongings and vehicle as well in an effort to ensure the safety of students is a priority at home, school and our community.
