Information from FHS
Acting principal, Mark Albright, Guidance Department Head, Suzie Ramirez and the Athletic Department Head, Paul Spear gave a presentation to our 8th grade class. They shared this slide show with them. On March 21st they will be meeting with our students again to show them how to complete a google form. On this form, students will select their elective course choices for next year. If you would like to help your child preview these electives, please click on the subject area on slide #17. They will be asked to pick 5 or 6. All STUDENTS WILL CHOOSE ELECTIVES REGARDLESS OF WHAT HIGH SCHOOL THEY WILL ATTEND. You should be able to view your son or daughter's recommendations that were made by their teachers in the next week or two. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Carol Brennan (last names A-K at 508-782-6842 or Eileen Stark-Glassman (last names L-Z) at 508-782-7841.
TryTransit
I am attaching the flyers for the TryTransit program currently running through March 31. Riders with a registered Catch Card (MWRTA’s fare card) can receive free fare on all of the Fixed Route buses. All you need to do is pick up a card, register it by either calling us at (508) 935-2222 or you can register it on the app, and then tap your card when you board the bus and the fare will be free! Attached are the flyers in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole and English.
Parking and U Turns
I have reached out to the Framingham Police Department to ask them to monitor Michael Road and Elm Street during arrival and dismissal. They will be monitoring to ensure people don't make a u turn on Elm Street and that cars are only parked on the even side of Michael Road. Thank you for your attention to this. It is important we all follow these rules so we keep our Cameron students safe.
Badges
VERY IMPORTANT! All FPS middle and high school students are required to wear their badge each day. Students are being asked to take their badge off at the end of the day and put it in their bag so they can put it on when they get to school the next day. Grade 6 students have been given new yellow lanyards and grade 7 has been given green lanyards. The 8th grade will continue to wear their blue lanyards.
Please reinforce this with your children.
