Flip Book
About Flip Books
A flip book is a book with a pictures that change slightly from one page to the next, so that when the pages are turned quickly, the pictures appear to move. Flip books are usually for children. The first flip book was made in September 1868 by John Barnes Lennett. The German film pioneer first showed his work in flip book form in 1894. Flip books are basically the first form of animation. Rather than "reading" left to right, a viewer simply stares at the same location of the pictures in the flip book as the pages turn.
