Band Headed to Peach Bowl Next School Year!
From our band director, Mr. Ruiz:
If you have not heard, The Lago Vista High School Band is proud to announce that we have been invited to participate in this coming year’s Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia, December 27th-January 1st, 2016. The Lago Vista Viking Band is honored to have received an amazing invitation to participate in the bowl parade activities, as recognition for the achievements from the past three years. Someone passed on some great news about our upcoming band program here in Lago Vista. Whoever that was……… THANK YOU!
Attending the Peach Bowl will provide these talented and dedicated students the opportunity to not only represent our school district but also the community of Lago Vista on a nationwide scale.
We are asking for your help in making this trip come true. We will organize several fundraisers for the next few months and we are asking you to please support us in anyway you can. We would appreciate you passing on the great news to others. The more people that know about this great opportunity the more support we will get.
I’m very, very excited about this great opportunity. It is simply amazing! We will march in the Peach Bowl Parade, compete in Jazz Band, Marching Band, Concert Band competitions, be part of the pre-game activities, but most of all, our students will perform with about 1000 other musicians from across the nation in one of the nation’s most popular bowl games.
Anyway, thank you ahead of time for your awesome support of the Lago Vista Viking Band Program!
Musically yours,
Pat Ruiz
