Principal Update
Week of March 6, 2017
Good Morning,
Thank you to to our literacy, math, science teams and all staff that helped with planning activities for our family night this past Thursday! Students, parents, grandparents, and guardians really enjoyed the festivities.
Professional Development
Shemia Thompson will meet with grade levels on Wednesday, March 8th. Please report to the conference room 5 minutes after your planning time begins.
Positive Referrals
Please turn in 1-2 positive referrals for students by Friday, March 10th. Thank you for your uplifting comments about students. Parents/Guardians really appreciate hearing positive comments when the principal calls.
Shout Out
The kindergarten program was adorable!! Thank you Ms. Miller, Kindergarten teachers and instructional assistants for your hard work.
Thank you to Trey McDaniel for your hard work and the time that you commit to Jump Rope for Heart each year. The total raised as of Monday, March 6th was $2,931.98. Our goal this year was $2000.00. Please thank your parents, grandparents, guardians and students for their over whelming support. This is phenomenal for a school our size! A special thank you to any staff members that contributed! Job well done!
Thanks to Dina for coordinating our spring book fair! It was great to see the excitement of students as they chose books.
Opportunity to Shine
Please support our Battle of the Books team on Saturday, March 11th. Students will be answering questions about 10 books they've read. Thanks, Dina for working with our team. Go Hornets! The competition begins at 7:30 a.m. at Ebinport Elementary School.
Enrichment Day
Thursday, March 16th - Details about activities for students will be in next weeks Principal Update
The time from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. will be used for grade level planning.
PTO Update
Please contact at least 2 businesses to request donations for our PTO Silent Auction/Bingo Night that will be held on Thursday, March 16th from 5:30 p.m - 7:00 p.m. This is going to be a night of family fun for students, parents, and staff. Please support our PTO.
Kindergarten Registration
Please remind parents that our district will be having the K4 and K5 kickoff on Saturday, March 11th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the district office.
