VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:
HSA Volunteers: Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to any and all things HSA this year. From leading a committee to spraying color on kids to dragging out giant water jugs at Field Day and much more, the HSA would not be able to continue its efforts to improve the educational experience for our children without your help. Hope everyone had as much fun as we did this year and looking forward to next year already!!
2018-2019 Yearbook: Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the yearbook!! This year’s Grade Representatives brought a great deal of experience to the process and were truly the backbone of the yearbook; thank you to Tiffany Kuzmick (Grade 4), Karen Kunze (Grade 3), Jeanie Houpt (Grade 2), Debra Hay (Grade 1), and Stephanie DerOhannessian (Grade 5, Committee Lead) for doing such an excellent job.
Thank you as well to everyone who took pictures at classroom or extracurricular events including Heather Benson, the Grade Representatives, the Classroom Photographers, and the Homeroom Parents. Getting coverage was not always easy, and your flexibility was appreciated.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed content, helped with proofreading/editing, or helped with sales and distribution. This includes the following folks: Melissa Adam, Chris Bracalenti, Rebecca Brown, Jenna Burke, Lynn Cashell, Jodi Esher, Mary Kate Finney, Stephanie Heaney, Becky Konkle, Kasha Maxfield, Linda Levey, Ashley McCusker, Holly Salloga (5th Grade Video Committee Lead), Julie Sharp, Kristin Sheehan, and Jeffrey VonDerStuck. A special thank you is owed to the fifth grade teachers for always being so ready to help and hopefully not minding my blackmail too much - thank you, Mrs. Chalfant, Mrs. Henderson, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Quindlen (aka-the one who handed in his note first :)), and Mrs. Reid!
And last but not least, thank you so much to Mrs. Allen and Mr. Piasecki for all that you did to bring this yearbook to fruition. From updated rosters to pictures taken the hallway to providing so much content via the S’more and more, your contributions are always appreciated and really make every yearbook something special to be treasured.
Fifth Grade Send-Off Event: According to many of the attendees, the Fifth Grade Send-Off was the best pool party EVER! The event was made possible by Julie Sharp (BSES Committee Lead), Chrissy Staurdi, Sherie Higgins, Dawn Wyzen, Sheri Dawson, Brighid Moran, Janice Matier, Heather Bilson, Andrea Brady, Robyn Marano, Holly Salloga, Kris Acker, Noelle Lauer-Paregian, Melinda Grugan, Janine Baldino, Melissa Iannucci, Natalie McGhee, and Michellene Conte. Thank you all for volunteering!
Spiritwear Sale at the Art and Lit Fling: Thank you to Derek Lloyd (Committee Lead), Stephanie DerOhannessian, Deana Sigston, Melinda Chiu, Heather Benson, and Joyce Bufano for your help with another successful Spiritwear Sale to wrap up the year.
Pretzel Friday: Thank you so much to everyone who helped out with our final Pretzel Day of the school year including Jeanie Houpt, Tiffany Kuzmick, Regina Klauder, Melinda Chiu, and Stacey Robinson (Committee Lead.)
Nature Trail: Thank you to the Ricevuto and Kern Families for taking such great care of the Nature Trail last week and this week!
COLOR DASH CORNER: Thank you again for everyone’s support during the 3rd Annual Jaguar Color Dash! Our amazing student body and parent community worked hard to rally donations and we exceeded our $12,500 goal! During our five week fundraising period, the entire school benefited from several school-wide rewards, including Free Seat at Lunch Day and Mr. Guidetti Flash Mob Day! Mrs. Shaffer’s class was treated to a classroom-wide pizza party for being the top fundraising classroom in the entire school! All homeroom teachers have been in touch with their classroom-level fundraising winners about scheduling upcoming breakfast or lunch get-togethers! And finally, the Jaguar Color Dash Live Raffle Extravaganza drawing took place to select individual raffle prize winners! Congratulations to all of our raffle prize winning students!
