Our lessons will be starting this month with our introductory Exploring Healthy Fruits and Vegetables lesson. We talk about all of the colors of the rainbow and try fruits and vegetables in a variety of colors. All students will be trying four different fruits and vegetables and the fourth and fifth graders will be learning how to cook a fun and healthy recipe featuring carrots and potatoes. We encourage you to ask your child about their experiences during the LifeSPAN lessons and maybe even try one of these carrot recipes (see below) together!
