THE RISE OF ROBERTS March 20-24
Dear Roberts Family,
As we come back from our much needed break, I want us to think about what makes Roberts unique and different. At Roberts we are hyper focused on the little things. We all tend to be captivated by the big picture. We all are aware of the cliché, “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” At times we forget that every big picture is created by one tiny brush stroke at a time. For example, Da Vinci created the Mona Lisa with the smallest paint brush at that time. Still today, you cannot see a single brush stroke even with a magnifying glass. Da Vinci's attention to detail allowed his genius to be showcased in his masterpiece. In your teaching career, you are creating your legacy with one tiny brush stroke at a time. Roberts, the small stuff matters. My ultimate goal is for you to be master teachers and leaders. That means you have to be deliberate about every minute in the classroom and intentional about change. Change is never easy, but focusing on the small stuff will help you get extraordinary results. If you focus on the small stuff, then even how you plan a lesson will never be the same. You see Roberts, it is our moment by moment actions that will generate big time results. Please don’t sacrifice what you can do now for the hope of change in the future. Continue to put kids first. I am so proud to be your principal. I come to work every single day knowing that I have a work family that will never give up on a child. Thank you for making me a better person each and every day!
