Stephanie Goes to State in Cross Country!
Cross Country is a thing that i'm good at, and that I can go far with. This year as a freshmen I went to state, and got 40th place at state, but it was the best experience I have ever had. Since my dad is the coach he makes me run a lot at my house, in fact almost everyday. It's all worth it in the end though, when you realized you put all that work in for something really important that you accomplished in your life. Cross Country is my passion, and I will always be on the move with it.
District at Roundtop
I was so excited because this was my chance to go to regionals. When we started I heard everyone cheering for me. During the race dust was everywhere and I couldn't really breathe good. In the end when I finished I got 2nd everyone came and hugged me. I told the girl that beat me congratulations on getting first. I finally felt like I accomplished something.
I m Heading to State!
The day I was running at regionals I knew that I had to go to state. When the race started I sprinted so fast to get out, then I realized I was in 2 place. I kept that place through the whole race, and in the end i sprinted to the finish line. I was so tired. I walked over to my mom and started to cry because I realized I'm going to state. Everyone who was their to support me came congratulated me and hugged me. I was so happy that day, and still am for accomplishing that moment. Then the awards came, I got a medal, then their was flashing cameras. When it was all over we left and I still had butterflies because of what I did.
Muddy State Run.
The day I ran state it was all muddy. I had mud from my face down to me feet. It was also really cold so that made it even worse. When the race started we turned a corner and everyone just started falling and slipping. It was really hard, even when mud is splashing in your face. In the end I got like 40th place, but I really enjoyed the experience I had. I would totally love to do it again.
The A&M Field Trip
This year we got to tour (with a tour person of course) a University college campus, to see if we want to go there. The whole high school got to see the Campus, and the rec center. I saw someone jump on a diving board into the water. We also got to try the midnight yell, we did it, it was alright but not the best. We also went to a presentation that shows us about college at A&M, like what we have to achieve to go there. Then we ate lunch at the Chicken and Oil Company, which was very good. Then we went to a store that sold A&M shirts and christmas decorations, but I didn't get anything from there. After the field trip I realized that A&M is a pretty nice place after all.
Looking at Kyle Field
This is where we stopped for a few minutes, and looked at Kyle Field. We were told how long it took to build it, how high it is, and much money it cost to build it, and finally who all helped to build it.
Practicing the midnight yell
Here is a picture where the tour guide helped us practice the midnight yell. We did alright, but we are not the best midnight yellers.
In front of Kyle Field
This is where the whole high school took a photo together. We tried really hard to all fit, and we even had to squeeze in everyone, even the two people on the wheel chairs.
The English Play
This year we did a play for our English class, it was about our book that was over a play. There was groups with different people, and we all did different things. It was really fun, because each of us individual got to express our feelings, and act crazy and our self in the play. Everyone did great with their part, and their time period, and everything they picked out. These plays were so funny, and even more fun to do.
Stage
This is a stage. This is where people do plays. They act out funny animations. They even get dressed us in different clothes for whatever play they are doing, or whatever time period they do. Plays also have props, like mirrors, or broom, or even a chair. Some people even do this for a job, and they make a lot of money doing it. Some people are even professionals at doing plays.
People Acting
This is showing how people act, dance, and sing on a stage. These people are doing a play. They are dressed up in different clothes, and acting out a different person, with a different name.
A Play Script
This is a script about a play. People use this for the words in the play, they read and they have to memorize it, so they know every line to the specific person they are acting out. In a script there are different people with different parts, and each person do a different part with a different person.
