Student Success
There are so many great things going on at North Oaks!
The Assistant Principals and coaches have been working together to insure the athletes are setting a good example in the classroom. The communication to teachers and support from the coaches has been amazing this year!
The administration team wants to celebrate Tony Smith, Amanda McNeelege, and our band students. We had 34 students make the district band which is the highest number in school history! We also had more students make district than any other school.
We had a large number of students on the A/B Honor roll and who had perfect attendance for the first six weeks. Please continue to help get your students to school on time so they have the opportunity to learn each day!
The teachers nominate and vote on a male and female Golden Mustang aware winner from each grade each six weeks. This is an aware for a student who works hard on their academics, but also works hard to exemplify the CORE values. The first six weeks Golden Mustang winners were:
6th grade: Felipe Hernandez and Marie Masungi
7th grade: Kaleb Penn and Jocelyn Lomeli
8th grade: Brycen Fears and Tashonda Webb
Catching Up With Dr. Klaerner
I want to celebrate our students and teachers for the awesome use of CHAMPs for classroom management during the first six weeks. The number of discipline referrals is down 48% compared to the first six weeks last year. Our students are doing a great job behaving in the classroom which increases the amount of time they spend learning!
Our Student Council students have done a great job developing video announcements this year. They are on the North Oaks webpage each day for you to view as well. This is a great way to see what is going on each week!
Thank you for your continued support! Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter for more information about the great things going on at North Oaks!
