Panther Planner
Week of October 18 - October 22
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Please DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR when dropping off or picking up your child from either the front or side loops. If you would like to assist your child out of the car or walk them to class, we ask that you PARK in the PARKING LOT and then walk them to their gate. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE LOOP TO WALK YOUR CHILD TO THE GATE.
As always, please put ALL THE WAY FORWARD before your child exits the car to allow as many families as possible to move through the loop.
Slowing the flow of traffic in the loop extends the wait time for everyone using the loop and extends traffic into the side streets near Paloma.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Birthday Celebrations
At this time, we cannot permit food to be brought in to share with classmates as part of a birthday celebration. We absolutely wish to recognize and celebrate our students' birthdays!
If you would like to send something in to celebrate your child's birthday, please consider non-food items such as bookmarks, pencils, shape erasers, or another non-food item. Additionally, we do have a Birthday Book donation program. You can read more about it here:
Masks and Water Bottles
Also, all water fountains are closed at this time due to health and safety concerns. Students have access to faucets to fill their water bottles as needed.
Thank you in advance for your help in sending your children to school with masks and water bottles each day. Thank you!
Fall Into Literacy ~ Virtual Family Literacy Event
It will be on Thursday, October 21st from 6:00- 7:30 pm on Zoom.
Space is limited to the first 100 participants.
You can sign up here: https://forms.gle/zsNuSBigHoTAm9NA6
Registration closes on 10/13. Those that sign up will be given the Zoom link as well as materials to use at home for the event.
It is sure to be a fun and educational time!
Requesting donations of Plastic Cups
We are in need of plastic cups, about 9 oz size, that are not too flimsy. Cup sizes larger than 10 ounces hold too much water to be at student desks and are easy to knock over. Any color is fine.
If you are interested in donating plastic cups, please send your donation to the school with your child for use in their classrooms or to bring to the front office for campus use. Thank you so much!
Salute to Heroes
Paloma’s Annual Salute to Our Heroes Celebration will be held virtually on Friday, November 12th at 9:00. Paloma’s panthers would like to honor all military personnel and all first responders who are currently serving or have served in the past. We appreciate your service and want to honor you for keeping us safe.
We want to include a picture of your hero in our special video. Please email a picture of your hero to nrobillard@tvusd.us. Title it 'Hero' and email it by October 22nd. We look forward to celebrating you and your family.
We will share the video of the special Friday Flag Salute to Heroes presentation with our school community.
Thank you,
The Salute to Heroes Committee
