What's Happening at Log
As we roll into October, the days (should) start to cool down, and thus a change in wardrobe. This also means that our lost and found will start growing. Please make sure your children check each day that they leave with what they came with!

From Mr. McManus: Log College heavyweight Football defeated a tough Tohickon team 28 to 0 on 9/26. Excellent game by the entire team especially offensive and defensive line led by Joe Collins, Connor Berry, Andrew Schultz, Christian Engler, Stephen Parks L.J. Rosales, and Gary Miluzzo.
In Log's second game of the season, Log battled to a 0-0 tie in the rain.
From Our Counseling Office
Homework Club is facilitated and sponsored by the LCMS school counselors. The club meets every Thursday morning at 7:15 a.m. in the LCMS school library. The counselors are present as well as other staff members to assist students with academics. Students interested may bring breakfast and will need a ride into school. All are welcome to attend Thursday Morning Homework Club!
Straight Talk About Cancer (STAC) Group:
The STAC group is a support group for students who have cancer in there lives, a friend, family member or loved one. Students have an opportunity to share feelings and gain information in a compassionate confidential environment. The group meets once a month during the school day through the entire school year. The STAC group is sponsored by the LCMS Counseling Office and is facilitated by staff members from the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia at Glida's Club.

From the Nurse
Reminder: Students may not carry any medications including over the counter at any time. The only exception is an epi-pen or inhaler with doctor's orders stating they have permission to carry. All medication taken during school hours must be dispensed by the school nurse. For further information, please see Centennial School District Policy 210-USE OF MEDICATIONS.
All students in Grade 6 need a physical examination, this should include the required immunzations for 7th grade (Tdap & Meningococcal). The physical examination form needs to be completed by your child’s doctor and returned to the school nurse.
Students in Grade 7 need a dental examination. The dental examination form needs to be completed by your child’s dentist and returned to the school nurse.

Attendance Procedures
Please be sure to turn in absence excuse notes within three (3) days of your child's return to school. Absences will remain unexcused until notes or turned in or if the three day window is exceeded. If your child has 10 or more cumulative days of absence, a doctor's note is required for all absences past 10 days.

For family trips during the school year, a Family Trip Request Form must be submitted to the Principal at least two weeks (10 school days) prior to your trip. All requests submitted less than 10 days prior will be denied.
