Examples and Pictures of Kinetic and Potential Energy
Kinetic Energy is energy that is in movement, like a roller coaster. While Potential Energy is energy that circulates and stays in one place and is in no movement.

The first 3 pictures were Kinetic Energy which is energy in movement and these 3 pictures are Potential Energy which is energy that stays in one place, and is also stored energy.

This is Potential Energy, because the ball in this picture is motionless. And since Potential Energy is Energy that stays in one place, and stores energy.
