Shayla Badry - Baking Creations
Shayla Badry is a mother of four who loves to cook, but she gets the most therapy out of cooking when she is baking sweets for holiday parties or friends and family. Below are a list of some of her favorite to bake, and what makes them so enjoyable.
Brownies
Brownies are like a chocolate cake that you can eat with your hand. And with that also comes the ability to layer other flavors into your brownies, so that they are even more like a handheld cake. By using nuts, caramel, fudge and more you can get creative with your brownies and give them a unique signature.
Cake
Cakes are always fun because you can tailor them to whatever occasion they are being used for. For weddings, you can bake three separate cakes and layer them. For birthday parties, you can cut the cake into special shapes to match that person’s personality.
Cupcakes
When looking for a solid compromise between a food you can eat out of your hands and cake, cupcakes are the perfect medium. These hand-sized cakes are bakes with paper liners that make them easy to hold and eat at the same time.
Pies
For those who want a crunchier surface to their pastry, pies are the way to go. And instead of flavors like vanilla or chocolate, you can do all kinds of creative things with pies, starting with the fact that you can use virtually any fruit to fil them.

Baked Penne Recipe
Baked Penne is a classic Italian dish that is both easy to make and delicious. It is a great dish to serve when hosting a dinner party, when you have the in-laws over, when your kids have friends over, or when you are just looking for something simple for your family. This recipe requires only 15 minutes of prep time and additional 35 minutes of cooking. You will need the following ingredients.
- Two cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- One 6 ounce can of tomato paste
- One 12 ounce package of dry penne pasta
- Two teaspoons of olive oil
- One pound of mild Italian sausage
- One cup of chopped onions
- One 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes with garlic
- One 15 ounce can of tomato sauce
- ½ a cup of white wine
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the penne to the water, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, and drain the pot.
In a large, deep skillet, heat oil and cook the sausage with the onions over medium-high heat until the sausage is browned. Drain the excess fat from the sausage and add the white wine to the skillet. Cook this for about 1 minute. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes and stir. Let this simmer for about 10 minutes and stir every so often. Add in the cooked pasta and stir. Place the pasta mixed with the sauce in a 9x13 inch baking pan and layer the top with mozzarella cheese. Bake the past for about 20 minutes, and your baked penne is ready to be eaten.

Becoming the Local Guerilla Marketer
Each flyer distributed is the key to a new customer, and every creative quirk to a business’s operations is an opportunity for exposure. Guerilla marketing is revolved around unconventional marketing methods while using limited resources during the process. Anything and everything can become available to you, and no strategy is out of the question. As long as it has the potential to create positive results for your business, than it is a tool in the arsenal.
This method is not only used for startup entrepreneurs and small business projects, but also for well-established businesses that wish to increase their marketing power. Shayla Badry, a startup business consultant, works with her clients from start to finish, and continues to urge business owners to continue guerilla marketing tactics, even after the business has established itself in the market. This ensures that there is always momentum in your business’s marketing department, and that no opportunities are left untouched as your operations continue to expand.
How Focus Turns Rookies into Winners
Pay attention, and the rest of your business venture will come smoothly. The biggest problem that most wannabe entrepreneurs have today involves the art of focused concentration. With so many ideas, plans, and possibilities running through the heads of ambitious people, it seems only fair that every idea be written down and pursued. However, while this seems brave in concept, it is not only impossible, but it will cause every idea collectively to be slowed down and halted. In order to become a master entrepreneur, you have to learn the art of focus.
The most important, but also the hardest part, of creating a focused entrepreneurial mind involves choosing the idea that is the most prominent one out of the lot. This is difficult because every idea seems to come with equal importance and necessity, but in order for all of them to succeed, they have to be handled one at a time and with much care.
From there, you will immediately begin to notice that interest will turn in to commitment. A quote by Kenneth Blanchard states, “There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to doing something, you accept no excuses; only results.” This philosophy has turned many wantrepreneurs into multimillionaires simply through focus. Shayla Badry is a startup consultant that works with clients looking to make their ideas turn into businesses. She stresses the need for focus to be at the forefront of an entrepreneurs’ mindset.
