A Message from Mrs. Schlaefer
Dear Parents,
Hi! My name is Joan Schaefer and I will be helping out at Shepherd of the Hills until the end of the school year. I am currently in my 27th year of leadership in Catholic Education and am grateful for the wonderful students, educators, staff, and families I have worked with over the years. I am blessed to have this opportunity to serve you, your children, and the dedicated staff here.
We are in the process of planning for the upcoming school year. Looking at an institution as a whole with different eyes can be a very positive experience. Challenges call for change and change promotes growth. I am excited to be part of this process so stay tuned for more details about the school year coming up.
The students have been very welcoming, respectful, and personable. The commitment and dedication of the families at Shepherd is so evident. This is a strong community of believers! Thanks for being on this journey and allowing me to be a part of it.
I look forward to meeting you.
Blessed Are We,
Mrs. Joan Schlaefer

Help Us Grow Our Enrollment
Spread the word to family, friends, and neighbors about these events happening at Shepherd of the Hills:
- Little Lambs will meet again next Thursday, March 18 from 10:00 - 11:15 am in Mrs. Schisel's 3K/4K classroom. This is a great opportunity for families to see what preschool is like.
- Our first of three Student Shadow Opportunities is Monday, March 25 from 8:00 - 11:30 am. Student Shadow Days are designed to give students in K-7, who are considering a change in schools, the opportunity to see what Shepherd is like and spend the morning in the classroom.
- We are hosting a Shepherd Showcase on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 - 10:00 am highlighting the 3K, 4K, and 5K programs at Shepherd. Families with preschoolers can expect to meet the teachers, tour the school, learn about the early childhood programs, participate in a fun classroom activity, and enjoy a snack.
Help Needed - Lunch 4/29 - 5/3
Our Cook, Mrs. Marcin, will be on a well-deserved vacation at the end of April. We are looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve hot lunch from Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3. Please contact the school office if you are available to help.
