What are Learning Walks?
- Informal classroom observations with a specific focus to collect data to inform improvement efforts in schools.
- Looking intently at teaching and learning so as to make informed decisions about support and training that teachers and administrators need.
- An opportunity for professionals to learn from one another and improve their teaching practice.
- Brief 10 minutes
- Some are aimed at looking for the 3 R’s (rigor, relevance, and relationship)
- Can be subject and/or grade specific depending on the focus
