Parent Information
Thank you families for being flexible and understanding when making the transition to the 20-21 school year! You have been wonderful about reaching out and asking questions while still following all procedures. We are so grateful for your partnership. This week we had virtual all school assemblies on "Using Kind Words." The students shared their thinking and created plans for implementing kindness here at Koenig.
If you have any questions, please call or email any of the staff members listed below or your child's teacher. We will continue to monitor any updates as we move forward.

Hope - Our Superpower! Two Rivers is a Kids at Hope school district. What does that really mean?
Kids at Hope, is a youth developmental strategy, based on significant academic research and evaluation. Kids at Hope begins with a foundational belief system that states and demonstrates, all children are capable of success, No Exceptions. We know that kids succeed when they are surrounded by adults who believe they can succeed. We commit to being a “10” on a 10 point scale, in our belief that ALL kids are capable of success. (period). No excuses, No Exceptions.
How do ‘WE’ - (the collective group of adults in every kid’s life) demonstrate we believe in them? Kids at Hope give us a Framework. First, “We Connect.” We know that children succeed when they have meaningful sustainable relationships with caring adults (this includes parents, teachers, family friends, coaches, etc.). Second, “We Time Travel.” We know children succeed when they can see and talk about their future. The future relates to education & career as well as, home & family; community & service, and hobbies & recreation.
Join us in an active practice of hope. As a family, discuss the following:
What does hope mean to you?
Who in your life makes you feel hopeful or who has given you hope when you most needed it?
How do I give hope to others?
Dream out loud together about what you hope you will accomplish this school year. It might be in terms of academics like reading a certain amount of books this year. Or it might be a new hobby - I want to learn how to play the guitar. Or it might be committing to weekly hours of service to our community.
Write down. “I hope to accomplish……. I will do this by…. And I will get help from…. to make my hope become my reality. Tuck it away in a safe place and review it in two weeks to see how you and your family are making hope come alive.
