What is the Helix
A Helix is a type of smooth space 3d curve. The curve wraps around an invisible cylinder or cone. The axis of the helix is straight dow the middle of the coil. At any given point, it creates a constant angle with the axis.
Geometry Used
Unlike a spiral, a helix remains constant, spirals can get smaller, but helixes keep a constant curve in relation to the axis. A helix uses parametric equations to define the figure.
x= r cos (t)
Y= r sin (t)
Z= c (t)
T= Parameter
