Parent Teacher Conference sign up
A hint. . . . even though you are mostly in the same hallway this year, I would suggest you leave five minutes in between conferences.
This is the same software the high school uses so you will be very well prepared when you hit that world :). You will need more than five minutes in between classes there though!
Camps for Cash
Thank you to those folks that were able to donate money, time and/or supplies. All is very much appreciated!
It is not too late to send in your money or pay online if you haven't already!

Thank you!
Field trip procedure
You will receive a link from the teacher that describes the field trip. In that link you will be able to give your child consent to go on the field trip and will also be able to pay. The program we are using is called Pay School Events.
Friends and Fun Night
In order for the event to be successful, we need parent volunteers. If you are interested in helping out that evening please sign up below:
Pumpkin Patch in the media center
Pig Out With Your Parent
This is a time when you are expected (ok, not really, but your children might not invite you) to come and enjoy lunch with your child. It really is a fun time and it is also fun for you to see all the students together. As much as they hate to admit it, the students really enjoy when you are here this day.
Hurricane Dorian relief efforts
In little over two weeks the district (staff, students, and parents) raised $7,304.55 for shelter boxes for those still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Dorian!!! The Rotary had originally agreed to match up to $1,500. Since seeing our District’s efforts the Rotary has now agreed to match dollar for dollar! The total dollars raised and dedicated to the purchase of shelter boxes because of all your efforts is $14,609.10!!!
Thank you again to everyone for all their efforts!

Student password change
Lake Orion Community Schools takes your child’s online safety very seriously. In an effort to protect student passwords and give students a chance to practice password safety, students in middle school will soon be required to reset their Lake Orion Community Schools computer and Office 365 login password. In preparation for the change, STAR classes have gone over security questions and the corresponding answers for resetting a password. Students picked five security questions and the corresponding answers for resetting their password.
In the upcoming days, students will be prompted to create their new password and set up their password recovery options. Passwords need to be 9 characters long and must include three of the following: capital letter, lowercase letter, number, symbol. Besides the 5 security questions, students may also set up an authentication phone number in case they need to reset their password. We encourage families to take this opportunity to discuss password security and online safety with their child at home.
