FROM the PRINCIPAL...
Dear Westbrook Families,
This week, our first graders dove into their plant unit, getting their hands dirty by planting seeds in our courtyard and watching them germinate in the classroom. It's a fantastic way to learn about nature's wonders and get excited about the warm weather! Our Kindergarten and Early Childhood classes are also exploring nature and all the beauty it brings with their spring units.
At Westbrook we strive to be a Kind, Safe, and Ready learning environment. Kindness Week is a great reminder to show compassion and respect towards our classmates, teachers, and everyone around us. Kindness Week at Westbrook is coming soon! From April 22nd to 26th, we'll be celebrating kindness with a week of fun activities and a chance to spread positivity throughout the school. A big thank you to the Westbrook Kindness Club for putting together some awesome daily spirit dress-up themes to show school spirit! Be sure to check the themes below and get ready to dress for kindness!
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 30th from 5:30-7:00 PM, for our much-anticipated STEAM Family Night! Join us for a fun-filled evening of activities led by our amazing Tech Coach, Art Teacher, and Librarian. Get ready for creative challenges, exciting experiments, and a chance to bond with your family. Plus, don't miss the first-grade art display showcasing the impressive masterpieces our young artists have created throughout the year!
For your children,
Danielle Crandall
