Teaching Social Studies in Conjunction with ELA Modules (January 16th)
This workshop is designed for teachers using ELA modules who are interested in teaching social studies aligned with the content specific modules. This workshop will use the Social Studies Framework as well as the ELA Modules that are Social Studies heavy to enhance learning in both subjects through inquiry. Register for Workshop
Adapting/Scaffolding Curriculum (3-8 ELA) (January 29th)
This workshop is designed for general education and special education teachers using ELA
modules and are interested in adapting module curriculum for student’s individual needs. This will also focus on scaffolding the module lessons in a way that is conducive to setting students up for success in subsequent modules and units. Register for Workshop
Introduction to Lego Robotics (February 11th)
STEM Experience (Design) (March 12th)
This workshop is designed for teachers at any level who are interested in using the process of design as a vehicle to move closer to STEM education within schools. Participants will be immersed in the design process as a learner and will then analyze how those experiences can be used as a pedagogical shift to approach STEM education. (Registration opens soon)
Designing Instruction to Incorporate Lego Robotics (March 25th)
Determining Priorities from Data (May 15th)
This workshop is designed for educators who are interested in using student data to prioritize remediation and differentiation. Educators will use a protocol to analyze data and gather meaning from it. Teachers will leave with a method for analyzing data and using it to make data-based decisions regarding students’ achievements within a particular subject. (Registration opens soon)
