Girls Basketball Just Around the Corner!
Seventh and Eighth grade girls basketball sign ups started on January 5th. Students who signed up were also given the three forms needed to participate. Please note that all students must have all of their forms turned in prior to tryouts, including the physical form!
If your 7th or 8th grader is interested, please encourage them to get everything turned in quickly so we can determine the number of teams we will have this season as it is a no-cut sport.
Tryouts to determine varsity and junior varsity rosters will be as follows:
January 23-24 7th Grade Tryouts
January 25-26 8th Grade Tryouts
Athletes must have all forms turned in before they can participate!
We have lots of coats, sweatshirts, lunch boxes, and water bottles that are looking for their owners.
All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, January 27th.
Mark you calendars for the following dates:
Feb 7-10 (Information shared in Advisory)
Feb 13-17 (Launch fundraiser and competitions)
Feb 21-24 (Student collection only)
Oregon is committed to preparing every learner with academic knowledge and skills necessary for success beyond high school. Oregon’s statewide assessments in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics are fully aligned to Oregon’s State Standards and provide students in grades 3-8 and 11, along with their families, one measure of academic achievement and growth.
We will begin our Oregon State Testing following spring break. All grades will be participating in testing.
The links below give additional information about the tests and the option to have your student opt out of testing.

A few reminders for families
- The rainy season has begun. We try our best to have recess outside whenever possible. Please be sure to send your student to school with a jacket or sweatshirt to help keep them warm and dry.
- If your student has medication needs during the school day, an adult is required to bring in the medication in the original container. Students may not transport medication themselves.
- If your student plans to ride home on a different bus, please send a note with your student. The note must be turned in at the front office for approval at the beginning of the day.
- Please make sure your student has money deposited in their lunch account. Free and reduced applications are available online or in our office. Breakfast is free for all students.
- Students are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle to school each day.
