CHRIST’s mass. What a fun time of the year. Busy, yes; however it is truly a special time as everyone throughout the world focuses on the birth of Jesus, who is the CHRIST our Savior! Please join with our RHLS family to celebrate CHRIST’s mass during many of the opportunities that are provided to you and your family here at Red Hill Lutheran this festive Christmas season.
TOP TEACHERS & EMPLOYEES NOMINATIONS DUE – Dec. 6. I want to encourage and invite all students and parents to take time to consider making a nomination for Top Teachers of Orange County. As a parent, you know how hard a teacher works, and can truly appreciate all that teachers do to go above and beyond. You know that they do more than just educate children. Teachers inspire and motivate children to dream. They provide Christian examples, and share with them God's love on a daily basis. This is an opportunity to share with others how you feel about your child's teacher here at RHLS, and why they should be considered as a Top Teacher in Orange County.
We want to not only nominate and honor the best teachers, but also the best instructional assistants, custodians, office workers, technicians, and other non-teaching staff members. Thanks for your consideration of this opportunity to recognize RHLS top teachers and school employees who assist them.
December Christian Character Quality: Fostering
November Philanthropy: Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child
Thanks to everyone for their generous support of our November philanthropy - Operation Christmas Child, shoe box collection. We collected over 825 shoe boxes and we were able to dedicate them with prayer at our special Thanksgiving chapel.
Special thanks to our ASB student leaders for helping to organize, count, and pack up all of our shoe boxes; as well as Mrs. Sandy Dawood, Mrs. Molly Faltas, Mrs. Jennifer Bletscher, and Mrs. Rebecca Walter for helping pack and transport the shoe boxes to the local distribution center.
Thanks be to God for His amazing blessings,
November Christian Character Quality Award Winners: Tenderheartedness
Surge Soccer- Donate gently used soccer uniforms & cleats
In November, Kindergarten thru 8th grade students had a chance to meet Sammy Surge from Surge Soccer (www.surgesoccer.org) and hear the message of “Study Hard, Play Fair & Help Others” provided by International Soccer Coach David Irby during chapel on Nov. 6.
As a follow up to Coach Irby’s visit, we have an opportunity to support the ministry and mission of Surge Soccer - sharing Jesus Christ and the hope found in Him through teaching soccer throughout the world.
We are very fortunate to live here in Southern California with some of the best facilities and fields for young soccer players to play on. Playing soccer in such a fantastic environment can often be taken for granted, as this is not the case in other parts of the world.
Surge Soccer’s, Sammy Surge, who we met at chapel, goes all around the world teaching soccer and the love of Jesus to those who have very little. We would like to help him and Surge Soccer further this ministry by donating gently used soccer uniforms and cleats. The Darling family will be collecting these items this week, December 2nd -6th. All you have to do is take your cleaned soccer uniforms (all sizes) and cleats (all sizes), put them in a bag, bring them through carline, or drop them off in the office. Then stay tune to see where your uniforms have gone. Thank you for considering this service project.

Children's Ministry
Red Hill Lutheran Church offers a weekly Children’s Ministry Program for all children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Using a combination of large group and small group activities, we intentionally strive to create an environment where children come to know Jesus, Impact the world around them, become Disciples of Jesus and Serve others – K.I.D.S.!
If you do not already have a church home, we invite you to join us. Family Worship is on the first Sunday of the month, at which time whole families are invited to worship together during our 10:00 am Contemporary Worship Service in the Sanctuary.
For more information, please contact Children's Ministry Coordinator, Beth Stoffregen.

Advent Bags
Join us during this season of Advent as we ready our hearts to celebrate the Coming King. Gather around every day this month to read the story of how God sent joy to the world with the gift of His Son, Jesus. While you’re at it, spread some joy of your own as a family.
To help you, we are providing Advent Devotional Bags for every family. These Advent Bags will go home with your child this week. Inside every bag is a family devotion to be used during the Advent Season, a Family Advent Calendar and information about many upcoming events on our Red Hill Campus and service opportunities in our community.
December Teaching Series: Follow the Star
It’s the time of year when Christmas decorations begin to fill our homes. From the twinkling lights, to the sparkling stars, to the glittering snow, there is light all around us! The very first Christmas didn’t have Christmas trees or ornaments, but it did have something special: light! Just like a star in the sky led the wise men to Jesus on the very first Christmas, today our Christmas lights remind us to continue looking toward Jesus, the One we celebrate each Christmas.
We invite all kids to join us as we discover the many ways God gets our attention and guides us toward Him: through His direction, through other people, through our Savior, and through the hope Jesus has given us.
Come and join us as we follow the star!
PHASE BOOK RESOURCES!
Many families are checking out books from our Family Resource Cart. THIS IS SO FANTASTIC! We love getting these resources into your hands! Our Phase Books are of particular interest to many families. Because of this high demand, we have purchased additional copies of each Phase Book, covering every phase from Newborn Baby to 12th Grade.
Stop by our Family Resource Cart and see what the Phase Books have to say about the phase your child is currently in.
Once you have found the book you are interested in, simply fill out the card located inside the front cover and drop it in the wood box on the Family Resource Cart. When you are finished, bring the book back & put the card back inside the front cover!
Can't find the information you are looking for? Let us know.
We will see if we can help find that resource for you.
Our Family Resource Cart can be found on the courtyard patio on Wednesday and Sunday mornings and in the Narthex (lobby) of the Church on all other days.
