4S is in charge of morning prayers this week, with 4G and 4 H to follow.
Feb 2: Field trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific. WE ARE LEAVING AT 8:00. DON'T BE LATE FOR SCHOOL! Please plan on no hot lunch that day, as each student will bring their own sack lunch.
Feb. 3: Children's Hunger Fund field trip. We will leave at 8:15 and return by lunchtime.
Feb 4: Math - Topic 9 Quiz
Feb. 5: Fourth grade mass - 1:00 pm. All are welcome!
Academics
Spelling/Writing: We are working on lesson 20 for spelling, VCCV patterns. The test will be Thursday, February 11th.
English: Last week we wrote letters to Joel Greene, who presented to the kids, so we didn't get to possessive nouns. We will (attempt) to do that this week! :)
Science: We have completed a study guide on whales and plan on having a test February 9th. We will also begin choosing topics for the research project-DONE 95% IN CLASS.
Reading: Our next story is about Sacagawea. This will tie in nicely to our social studies curriculum!
Robotics: Beginning this week, 4G will get their turn in the robotics lab!
Social Studies: We are moving ahead to Westward Expansion and learning all about how and why people began moving west. This week, kids will learn about the dangers of the Oregon Trail and traveling in a prairie schooner!
