Salmon's Week 2 Update
September 11th - 15th
Peek at the Week
- Character (main and supporting)
- Setting (where? and when?)
- Conflict (fancy word for "problem"
- Events/Climax (the major turning point with the problem)
- Resolution (how the problem is resolved but may not be solved)
Writing: Complete Subject/Predicate and Topic Sentences in a Paragraph
We will be working to identify and make sure we have complete subjects and predicates in the sentence. The questions I teach the students to use:
Who is doing it? - Subject
What are they doing? - Predicate
Social Studies: We will continue to learn about the Southwest and its landscape.
Science: We are focusing specific target areas with Plants LS1.1 and Animals LS1.2
Students should be able to identify ways that plants and animals have internal and external structures to support survival, growth, and behavior. Also animals use different ways to process information through their senses and into their brains.
