Info from Jenna
- Student Council
- Pennies for Patients Fundraiser begins Monday!
“Pennies for Patients” is a program run by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that helps to raise funds for life-saving cancer research. All of the change collected during this fundraiser goes toward treatments and cures for blood cancers. By donating spare change, students are helping to raise money to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s diseases, and myeloma.
Thank you for helping to support such a worthy cause. Any questions, please contact Jenna.
- Summer School
Data Team Meetings
We are having Data Team Meetings to review at Winter Assessments. In the Fall we looked at what kind of data we had, what it told us, and then reviewed Tier 1 Strategies for "types" of student profiles. We will repeat that again plus comparing Winter to Fall Data and what to do next. Prior to the meeting it is assumed that:
- You have reviewed your class data
- You have identified students of concern (either new or continued)- bring list
Come with questions
Students needing to enter SRBI will need to have a referral filled out with a list of Tier 1 interventions tried and in place.
Progress Reports
- Marking Period has ended.
- Due to me on 3/8
- Visible on the ParentPortal on 3/14
- Conferences 3/15-3/16 (send Donna schedule)
IMPORTANT:
- When you open Reports they automatically open to the current marking period.
- That means as you open them now, they will be Marking Period 3 and will need to be changed back to Marking Period 2.

Article: Classroom Management Strategies for Difficult Students
Although the focus is on middle school students, this article is extremely helpful and relevant for us as well. It really helps looking at behaviors in an entirely different way vs. on purpose, controllable and requiring only punishment. A very worthy read for ALL STAFF that I found very helpful for a Growth Mindset.
