Cougar Weekly Update
November 30, 2018
Principal's Message
This week we returned to a regular school schedule in a five day week. It was nice to get back into a regular school routine. I am very proud of our students for resuming the work of learning! As things start to get busy in the month of December please look for MPCS throughout the community spreading holiday cheer!
This week I also get to recognize our Bucket Fillers of the Month! I am always excited to highlight the great behavior and positive attitudes of these students! Congratulations to each of them for making Cougar a great place to learn and grow!

December 3-8: Bullying Prevention Week
Bullying Prevention Spirit Week!
December 3rd - December 7th
“Be an Upstander, not a Bystander!”
Manassas Park staff and students! Let’s take a stand against bullying by participating in a week of Bullying prevention activities with a focus on being an upstander!
Monday: Wear your clothes inside out - This shows bullying can cause hurt feelings on the inside more than anyone knows on the outside.
Tuesday: Wear two different shoes - Take a walk in someone else’s shoes, to show compassion and empathy for someone’s situation.
Wednesday: Upstanders are superheroes - Let all students know you are a superhero in the effort to stop bullying by dressing up as a superhero.
Thursday: Wear blue - The official color of Bullying Prevention.
Friday: Team up AGAINST bullying - Wear your favorite team shirt or jersey to show that we are teaming up against bullying. Together we can make a difference!
