The Hall Way...
Hello Warhawks!
It has been nice to have some sunshine this past week and it looks we will get some of that this week too!
Earlier this week our remote families received an email with a link for you to submit your preference for April and May (remain remote or switch to hybrid). We need this information to help us plan, so please fill out the survey in the email (it is also linked below) by the end of the day on Monday. The moves to hybrid will take place after spring break on April 5th.
We appreciate the collaboration with our families as we have adjusted to our hybrid plan and the hard work of our students. One area where we could use our families' support is during the asynchronous times in your students' schedule. The students have assignments and homework that they should be completing to help them practice what they are learning or to help them prepare for their upcoming classes. These assignments are graded, but more importantly they will support our students' growth in terms of the concepts and skills they are learning. Teachers also use these assignments to check their student's' understanding of the concepts and their progress. This helps them plan their future lessons and work with students to maximize their live instruction time with them. Thank you for your support in encouraging your student to complete this asynchronous work during their school day and setting expectations with them to participate in this important part of their learning.
Please never hesitate to ask for help. Our teachers, social workers, nurse, staff, and administration are here to help. Give our office a call at 815-338-4900 and we will get you connected. Warhawks take care of each other and we are here to work together and support each other.
Have a GROOVY week, Warhawks! Enjoy the sunshine!

Yes! Students can check out library books! Students place holds on books through Destiny Discover, our library program, and then library staff makes sure students receive the requested books. Students should contact Mrs. Hinderlider at bhinderlider@wcusd200.org or Ms. Parrent at mparrent@wcusd200.org if they can't remember how to place a hold.
