8th Grade Service Project
The 8th grade team is raising money for Seeing Eye Dogs for the Visually Impaired by purchasing Dog Tags for $1. Debra, our dog in training, has visited the school several times to interact with the 8th grade students as part of her training.
Debra's trainer is one of our Spanish teachers, Mrs. Kneidel.
There are still dog tags available if you are interested.
7th Grade Service Project
The 7th grade team continues to support 2 families in the Adopt-A-Family program. Recently, a lovely thank you note was sent to Mrs. Winslow from both the families and the Social Worker involved filled with complete gratitude for the donations that the 7th grade students have contributed. The letter from the social worker states "These residents, who are our West Hartford neighbors, show joy, happiness, disbelief and often tears when they realize their good fortune. It is difficult for them to imagine such kindness being bestowed upon them by someone else; by complete strangers".
The 7th grade team is still collecting for the Adopt-A-Family program. They are in need of gift cards (suggestions of Wal-Mart or Stop & Shop), sports equipment, toiletries, and non-perishable food.
Thank you 7th Grade!
