To make sure you know which environment your student will continue in, Go to parent portal, click on your PSHS student’s name. At the top just under Student Schedule 20-21, it will identify your student’s learning environment as Remote (which means continuing at home through the 1st 9 weeks) or Face to Face.

Logging In, Accessing Classes and Materials
Chromebook, Password, and technology Issues
If any students is having issues with their Chromebook, does not have one yet, or issues with their password, you will need to email our CTA's at plano.cta@pisd.edu . They will respond to you and take care of your concern.
Attendance
Students who log in to the Plano ISD WebDesk each day and engage in teacher-assigned learning apps (including, but not limited to Google Classroom) are considered “present” and will not be marked absent. Secondary students will need to login to each class (period) and/or complete each daily class assignment or they will be marked absent. This absence can be resolved if the student engages in daily learning assigned by their teachers via the Plano ISD WebDesk by 11:59 p.m. that same day.
Students must attend their class 90% of the time to receive credit in that class, regardless of them receiving a passing grade. (For secondary students, this means 90% attendance in each class.)
The teacher defines if a student was “engaged in learning” or not. Students need to show “engagement in learning” prior to the end of each day to receive attendance credit for that day. A student cannot simply login and logout each day and expect to be counted as “present.” The student must be engaged in teacher-assigned learning prior to midnight to be counted as “present” for that school day.
Verification of Enrollment Forms for DMV
The district has developed an online process for students who wish to request a Verification of Enrollment (VOE) form. While we understand that the Department of Public Safety temporarily suspended the VOE requirement for students seeking their driver's license or learner’s permit, this process is now available for students to request a VOE form. Students may make a request for a VOE form at https://myforms.pisd.edu/Forms/VOE. The form will be completed and returned to the student via email.
Please allow 3-5 days to process, last minute requests cannot be guaranteed. Once, the VOE is verified it will be e-mailed to you. If you don’t see it, before you resubmit the VOE please check your spam and junk folders.
VOE’s are based on grades and attendance.
Absences
If your student is absent, please email a note to the appropriate Student Center secretary. This includes all sick notes, doctor notes, etc. Do not send these to the teachers. Give the student’s full name and ID number and reason for the absence. Here is the contact information:
