West Oxford Owl
March 8, 2024
Happy Read Across America week! In honor of Dr. Seuss's 120th birthday, we had a host of incredible community partners who came out to read to each classroom this week. We heard a wide array of stories and met many interesting volunteers. We hosted voting Tuesday. On Wednesday, fifth grade got to watch a play called Heroes of the Underground Railroad. It was also Severe Weather Preparedness Week, and we practiced for a tornado drill on Thursday alongside all other public schools across the state. Many students worked hard to get our spring garden ready to start growing broccoli, beets, and lettuce!
Sunday is the first day of Daylight Savings Time. Make sure you adjust your clocks to spring forward an hour!
