Happenings on the Hill
MHBS 5-12 Communications/August 13, 2015
Welcome Back...
Panthers in grades 5-12. When school bells rang on August 6th, the 68th consecutive year of Mars Hill Bible School began. With lots of improvements completed and on-going on campus and with several additions and changes to staff, Mars Hill may be better than ever this year. We welcomed 17 middle schoolers and high schoolers who will be featured in upcoming editions of "Happenings on the Hill." And we're off and rolling--Show Choir this weekend, "Meet the Panthers" and football next week, 2014-15 yearbook delivery, and a whole year packed with academic, athletic, and spiritual challenges. Welcome Back, Panthers! We're glad you're here.
Show Choir Weekend is Here!
Shows will be Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Norton Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and are available at the box office window. You don't want to miss this!

Gifford Myhan: A Tribute
Gifford was one of the first employees the board hired. He wore many hats, including being in charge of the bus garage and buses. He drove a bus route for many years and maintained the overall condition of the school buildings. Gifford worked in the cafeteria and assisted Dr. Sewell with the campaign videos.
His three children, Jerry, Fay and Kay, all graduated from MH along with several children and great-grandchildren.
We are grateful for Mr. Myhan's dedication to our school and his life of service. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Myhan extended family.

Safety First: Harassment/Bullying Policy
To that end, we have created two avenues for students to report harassment or bullying. "No Bully Stands Alone" will be enforced, and students must report incidents of harassment and bullying to a teacher or an administrator. Students may report bullying via voice mailbox (256-718-8523) and email (bully@mhbs.org). Please see the Student Handbook for a complete explanation of the harassment and bullying policies.
