Message from Principal Nicole Pease
Hello HES families, as we return from the Winter Break, teachers and students have been focusing upon reestablishing school routines. The snow days have not helped in this regard, however, staff and students continue to work to get back into the rhythm of school.
I am thankful for the recent snowfall. I cannot count the times that students questioned why they needed to wear their snow pants if there was no snow!
In honor of Martin Luther King Junior, classrooms at HES have been working on sharing their hopes and dreams. These will be displayed at the Hancock Town Library. I hope families will stop by to see the students' work. It is so lovely to have the whole school focusing upon their dreams for the new year!
I hope you have a wonderful week!
Nicole

News from the HES PTO
The PTO Holiday Food Drive was an amazing success! We collected over 400 items (photo below) including donations from HES families, community members and groups. A special shout out and thank you to Ashley Flamino who coordinated these efforts, and delivered a truck load (literally) of food to End 68 Hours of Hunger.

January Lunch Menu
Water Bottles & Reusable Utensils
In an effort to reduce our single plastic use, please remember to send in reusable utensils with your child for snacks and lunches.
Do you have any extra water bottles or reusable utensils at home that you are not using and would be willing to donate to HES? If so, please send them in with your child and we will keep them in the classrooms to use as extras for those who forget theirs. Thank you!
Don't forget to check out the HES website.
