MEADOWLARK MILERS FAMILY FUN "COLOR RUN"
May 3, 2024 (4:00-5:00)
The final Milers run of the year will be a Family Fun “COLOR” Run on Friday, May 3rd. We would like students to bring a parent or older family member to run/walk with them during this event. We will be running a course around the school so students will need your supervision. If you are unable to attend, please make arrangements for another parent to supervise your child during the run. We have a very large group this year so supervision will be extremely important! After school students will go directly to the gym to receive their Milers card and instructions. We will begin the run around 4:00. When you arrive, if the front parking lot is full you might need to park at the CAPS building just North of us. Our coaches will be squirting color powder at the students as they go through the color stations along the course. Students and family members will need to wear a white t-shirt or any shirt that you don’t mind getting the color on. Our coaches will be very careful not to squirt the color in the face, however, sunglasses are strongly encouraged! At the conclusion of our run students and family members will receive a cool refreshment! Students who have met their final goal will receive a medal at the end-of-the-year assembly. In order to participate in this event please click HERE or scan the QR code to register. If you have any questions please email me at crusinbt@usd385.org .
Thank you for allowing your child to participate in Milers this year! Hope to see you on Friday, May 3rd!

The 9-week elective class rotation is Art, Spanish, Computer Basics, and Intro to Robotics for all 6th graders.
What is Central Time?
Central Time is our time to focus on individual plans of study and student success skills. This can include information about character education, post-secondary options, good study habits, goal setting, participation in clubs, and more.
How will I stay organized?
Students will be given an agenda that will have passes, day-by-day calendars, and ways for them to keep track of assignments.
How will I find my classes and will I have time to learn how to open my locker?
During our Meet Your Teacher Night on Tuesday, August 13th from 5:30-7:00 p.m., students and their parents will be able to meet teachers, tour the building, and get into their lockers.
About Us:
Currently, ACMS has around 600 students. Most of your 6th grade classmates come to ACMS from Meadowlark, Prairie Creek, and Sunflower Elementary Schools.
Principals: Ms. Craft and Mrs. Seibel
Counselors: Mrs. Flores and Mrs. Guerrero
Ms. Craft and Mrs. Flores are the principal and counselor for students with last names beginning with A-L.
Mrs. Seibel and Mrs. Guerrero are the principal and counselor for students with last names beginning with M-Z.
Where am I supposed to go when I get to school?
Besides the first day of school, you will report to your grade level pod to visit and relax until the school day starts. Doors open at 7:35AM. Car riders are dropped off in the back of the building and buses will pull in the front. At 7:50AM, a bell will ring releasing students from the pod. Classes then start at 8:00AM.
What do I do when I need to talk to a counselor?
Students will be able to fill out a counseling form located in their grade level Google classroom. In this Google classroom, students will also find announcements and other important information. The counseling form can also be located under the Counselors tab on our school website at https://acms.usd385.org. Students who have an urgent need will be allowed to see the counselor with permission from a staff member.
