LMS Feathers Up Newsletter
APRIL 2024
News from Mr. Culbreth
Warrior Family,
We are quickly approaching the end of the school year! While the end is nearing, we still have some VERY important items remaining that you need to be aware of and students need to be focused on. Beginning April 22nd, we will start our Georgia Milestones End-of-Grade testing. These tests help identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth for both the school and your student. It is important that students are well rested, fed, and focused during this time as it is a tough week for them. We will be having celebrations for them at school, but we ask that you help them with encouragement from home as well.
We will begin Spring Break with Good Friday on March 29th and will return to school on April 8th. Mr. Nix has posted information regarding the April 8th eclipse event on the Catoosa County Public Schools webpage (catoosa.k12.ga.us). If you have questions regarding this, please contact the school.
As always, I want to encourage you to communicate with the school any time you have questions or concerns. We know that student success increases when there is a strong relationship between the school and the home. Please do not hesitate to email me at mculbreth@catoosa.k12.ga.us when you have questions and/or concerns.

LMS IS IN NEED OF PARENT VOLUNTEERS FOR TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up the week of May 6th-10th. This year's theme is an old school rap and hip-hop theme, titled "Dear Teachers, You Are Appreciated". We have a lot of activities happening this week to show our teachers how much they are appreciated by the community, students, and families (like you)! We will need your help during the month of April to decorate workrooms, prepare giveaways, and develop ideas. We will also need volunteers to help the week of Teacher Appreciation week to set-up and break-down different activities, provide snacks, and help give away prizes to our teachers. Please sign up and let us know how you would like to help show our teachers your appreciation." If you have any questions call 706-866-1040 or email Amanda Raper.
