Salt Lake City Bid Leaders bribe after Olympic rejection
IOC Scandal
The Olympic Bid Leaders of Salt Lake City paid more than 1 million dollars to sway the voters opinion to win the 2002 Winter Olympics. The two Chief Officers were indicted by a grand jury on accounts of bribery, fraud, and racketeering. The two officials were President K. Welch and Vice President David Johnson. The 1 million dollars were paid two the IOC, who decides where the games are held.
