November Staff Appreciation – Give Thanks with Pies
Our amazing CRES staff members deserve a huge thank you this Thanksgiving, so we're hosting a Give Thanks with Pies event. For ten dollars you can purchase a ten-inch pie made with care by a professional baker. Once you sign up, you will have the option to leave a special thank you note from your family in the comments box on the sign up form.
Use the following link to connect with this event on Signup.com.
You can either pay using a credit card on Signup.com by clicking the green heart button or you can send cash or a check with your child to school in an envelope marked with your name and “PTO – Pie Money.” Please make checks payable to CRES PTO. Please sign up for your pie donation by November 18.
Please consider supporting this month’s staff appreciation event. We have 70 spots that need filled! Our school would not be the beautiful and supportive place it is without each member of the CRES staff.
Top Cycle Tuesday
Thank you to everyone who recently submitted Box Tops! Over 3500 Box Tops were submitted for Top Cycle Tuesday on October 18th with almost every class earning their free recess!! Keep sending in those box tops for our next Top Cycle Tuesday on November 15th! Please do NOT send in expired Box Tops as these cannot be submitted for cash.
Roadrunner Rally Numbers
The final numbers for Roadrunner Rally are in. As a school community, we collected $8214. Those generous donations will go towards supporting the students and staff at Cumberland Road. Thank you to everyone who reached out to family, friends, and neighbors to support this important fundraiser.

Night Zookeeper
Dear Roadrunners,
We are very excited to announce that Night Zookeeper Paul will be visiting our school on Thursday, November 17th.
He will be presenting a School Assembly and a series of creative workshops throughout the day. Following this exciting day, your child will then be able to use their website accounts to write even more creative stories, both at school and at home.
Nightzookeeper.com enables children to…
• use a unique story writing tool to practice their writing skills
• receive feedback from teachers and students in their class
• take part in various writing competitions throughout the year
• complete educational lessons sent by their teacher
Please do log in and explore the website (nightzookeeper.com) at home with your child.
The Story Book
Night Zookeeper Paul will be sending copies of the story book for your child to take home. He is offering a reduced price of $10 per book (usually $19.95 on Amazon due to postage from UK), for anyone that buys it from our school.
If you would like a signed copy, then you can send the money in an envelope with your child along with the permission slip attached to this e-mail. Please do this by Friday, November 11th.
If you would like to find out more about the project and how you can continue the learning at home with your child, the Night Zookeeper team would be delighted to hear from you.
Please feel free to email Paul at: paul@nightzookeeper.com.

Designed to give parents the quick and easy access needed to make changes on-the-run, the app is limited to just the necessities. With the app, parents can:
- Create/Cancel a single exception within the two-week calendar view
- Set Parent Preferences for name, email, password, mobile number, and opting in or out of emails or text notifications
