STAAR Testing - April 9th and 11th
On Tuesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 11 we will be administering the English I and English II EOC STAAR assessments.
On Tuesday, April 9 all 9th grade students and any English I re-testers will need to report to testing rooms before 8:05 am for testing.
On Thursday, April 11, all 10th grade students and any English II re-testers will need to report to testing rooms before 8:05 am for testing.
ALL students who are not testing on one or both of these days will need to report to school in the afternoon. Lunch will be served for non-testers on April 9 and 11 from 11:45-12:45.
Attendance will be taken at 12:45 pm for B1 on Tuesday, April 9 and 12:45 pm for B3 on Thursday, April 11. It is imperative that students attend school for the required amount of time on STAAR testing days. Low attendance will result in required regular day attendance on STAAR testing days and loss of days off during exemptions.
Buses for testers will run at normal times. Buses will also run for non-testers at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 11.
SAT Testing - April 9
What to bring:
- #2 pencils (not mechanical)
- Calculator**
- School ID or State Approved ID (Driver's license, passport, etc)
- Water/Snacks (students may not consume these in the testing room but they can have them during breaks)
What NOT to bring:
- Cell phone, smart watch, laptop, any electronic device that can access the internet
- Colored drinks
Students do not need to bring any sort of ticket to the SAT in the School Day test.
Please call a high school counselor if you have questions.
**Calculators - an approved calculator list is attached below. We do NOT have enough calculators to issue to every student signed up to take the test. Please invest in a calculator for this test, future tests, and future classes. A scientific calculator is much less expensive than a graphing calculator and is an acceptable calculator for SAT. A four function calculator is allowed but not recommended.
