Buy School Supply Lists
School supply lists are available on our Back to School hub. Find and select your school, then select the grade level to download your student's school supply list.
If you're having trouble providing supplies for your student, please reach out to us at SLPComEd@district16.org.
Complete Meal & Education Benefits Application
While school meals will be provided free of charge again this school year thanks to an extension of federal funding, it's still very important for families to complete an application for Free and Reduced-Price Meal and Education Benefits. The funds our schools receive apply to far more than meals for students and are critical to supporting our learning environment.
A new application must be completed each school year. The application process is simple, confidential and there are many potential benefits including reduced fees for athletics and activities, reduced fees for in-home internet access and more. If you complete an application by September 3, 2021, you may be eligible for an additional $430 of food benefits through the Pandemic-EBT program.
Please note, if you have already applied and received a letter with your approval for the 2021-2022 school year, you do not need to apply again.
To apply and find translated applications, please visit SpringLakeParkSchools.org/benefits.
Get your iPad ready
After the last few years of use, student iPads have gathered apps, assignments, pictures and videos that may no longer be needed. This can fill up the iPad’s storage and prevent required updates from installing. Please follow the steps below to prepare your student’s iPad for the new school year.
Students entering grades 1, 2, 5 and 9 will be exchanging their current iPad for a new model.
Back up documents and pictures using iCloud (optional)
On the assigned turn-in day, the iPad will need to be wiped prior to exchange. To wipe the iPad, follow these instructions.
For all other students, please follow these steps to prepare your iPad for the new school year. Following these steps will provide the best experience and performance for your student’s iPad.
Back up documents and pictures using iCloud (optional)
Kindergarteners, we've got you covered. You'll receive your school-issued iPad in the first days of school.
If you have any questions, contact Technology Services at techsupport@district16.org or 763-600-5555.
Watch for Bus Route Information and download MyStop App
Families who indicated they needed district transportation for this fall will receive bus route information in the mail the Week of August 23. For general information and bus routing, contact Spring Lake Park Schools transportation services at 763-600-5590 or visit the Transportation page.
This is a great time for parents and students to download the MyStop app. The app provides access to live bus GPS information so you can track the location of your student's bus.
Update Your Contact Information in Campus Parent Portal
Campus Parent Portal provides online access to secure and timely information about class schedules, attendance, report cards, nutrition services payments and transcripts. Please take a few minutes to review and update the following in Campus Parent Portal before the school year begins:
Primary phone number
Emergency contact and phone number
Email addresses
Parent and guardian changes and updates
Adding/removing household members
Primary address changes
Download instructions on how to update contact information in Campus Parent Portal.
Why update your contact information? We'll be keeping in contact with you throughout the school year with:
Messages from your child's teacher(s)
Updates on your child's program, report cards
Your school’s weekly newsletter - emailed home on most Wednesday evenings throughout the school year, with need to know and nice to know information and glimpses of your student's school experience

Any concerns about attendance, illness, etc.
Automated phone calls, texts and email messages for emergency and/or weather-related school closings (snow days, water main breaks, etc.)
Make sure your child's immunization records are up-to-date
All students in Spring Lake Park Schools must comply with Minnesota Immunization Laws. All immunizations need to be up-to-date by the start of the school year. Minnesota School Immunization Laws require ALL students enrolled in school to be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis, hepatitis B, meningitis and varicella.
The only exceptions are:
A student has had the chickenpox virus
Medical exemption with paperwork from your provider
Conscientious exemption with notarized exemption form
If you believe your child's records need to be updated with proof of immunizations, please bring or send these to your school nurse or call for verification. Learn more about immunizations at SLP and find a downloadable immunization form.
You can also find a variety of other health services resources and forms on the Health Services page.
Review Current COVID-19 Health and Safety Practices
The COVID-19 hub continues to be the place to go to find the latest information about the health and safety practices we are following in our schools. It also includes frequently asked questions and an archive of COVID-19 related updates and announcements.
In these weeks before the 2021-2022 school year, the situation with COVID-19 in our communities continues to evolve. We are monitoring virus activity in our community each day and will adjust our practices as needed. Any updates will be posted on this COVID-19 hub and communicated directly to families.
