A Note From Mrs. Carreras
Please see guidelines below regarding Valentine's Day.
There is no school on Monday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Was your child in "close contact" to a person testing positive for Covid-19? Please keep them home from school and call the school office for further directions. Is your child experiencing one or more symptoms? Review Student Symptom Decision Tree below.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Carreras

Valentine's Day Celebration Reminders
- NO food, drinks, candy, snacks, or ANYthing edible. PLEASE make this announcement to your parents.
- Children are allowed to pass out Valentine's WITHOUT anything edible (ideas: cards, pencils, bookmarks, color kits, art supplies/projects, etc. ). *Gloves will be available.
- Set a deadline of Monday, February 1st for parents to turn in all class sets of Valentine's. Distance learners should be included in these class sets. The 2/1 deadline gives teachers time to distribute Valentine's to Distance Learners on their various pick-up days as well as giving time for all Valentine's to abide by the 7-day quarantine rule. Note that we have no school on 2/12, so most virtual parties will probably take place on 2/10 or 2/11. Make sure to schedule a date and time with your teacher.
- Create a Shutterfly volunteer list for party supply donations (a lot of parents want to help - it's a way for them to feel involved). Consider posting this sign-up sheet no later than Jan. 25th (we'd recommend earlier) so that parents have time to gather the supplies and return them to you. We recommend collecting all supplies by January 29th so that you have a few days over the weekend to organize party bags for each student. These bags should be returned to the teachers by Monday, February 1st so that (like the Valentine's) teachers have time to redistribute to Distance Learners and we are following the 7-day quarantine.
