THINGS TO KNOW AND DO
March 10th through April 9th marks the month of Ramadan
On March 10th through April 9th marks the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. Some students may be fasting from sunrise to sunset, including water. Here is a new video on Ramadan for the week of March 18th!
No Place for Hate is sponsoring an iftar to end the day of fasting during Ramadan after Open House. Students and families are invited to bring food and drinks to share(a limited supply of water bottles will be available). Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting(sawm), prayer(salah), reflection, and community.

National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month(DDAM), a time to educate the public about developmental disabilities and highlight the importance of including people with disabilities in all areas of society.

Hannah Ly, 6th Grade
Hannah is kind to her fellow classmates and supports them when they feel down. She always checks in on her friends even when they are sick.
Christopher Gomez, 7th Grade
CJ is kind to his friends and classmates and is always offering help, especially in Spanish. We applause him for being a great character in our community! Keep it up, CJ!
Emerson Maxiliom, 8th Grade
Emmy is a top of the tier quarterback for his flag football team. He is a fantastic skills at more than just sports. He is good at staying on task and more. Great work Emmy!

Spring Open House
Hi Leopards and Parents ‼️ 🐾
ASB is hosting an open house! It will be held on the 21st of March, Thursday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. All family and friends are welcome! Besides seeing students work, you will be able to meet your child’s teachers, and enjoy the food trucks, band performance, and resource fair we are additionally hosting.. We hope to see you there!!

CLUB NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Enigmatology Club
Enigmatology Club will be cancelled on Thursday, 3/21. We'll see you next Thursday! Mr. Crawford
Builders Club
Hey Lewis Leopards! The annual Builders Club PB&J and sack lunches for the homeless project is happening in April this year! On April 25th we will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and packing sack lunches to be handed out to the homeless. You can help us make this project a success in two ways: 1) join us after school on April 25th and 2) donate food and other needed items. We'll be collecting donations from March 21st until the event on April 25th. Please see the flyer for more details. Donations can be dropped off at room 220. Please see Ms. Dietz or any Builders Club member if you have any questions
Jewish Club!
Every Tuesday, we have our next Jewish Club meeting during 7/8th grade lunch in room 211. Everyone is welcome!
Rainbow Club
Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday there is Rainbow Club/GSA/SafePlace in room 211. This is a place to have lunch for students who are LGBTQIA+ along with friends and allies. Everyone is welcome!
Higher Ground
Hi students and parents! Higher Ground Club is a space every Tuesday at lunch for students to come meet new friends, play games, eat pizza, and grow as students of character. We are a club facilitated by students, and directed by adults. We're really excited about this school year, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out at any time.
