AMS Parent Peek
April 7, 2024
Dear Families,
We are writing to inform you of an important schedule change. On April 8th, a solar eclipse will occur during the afternoon and we will send our students home at 12pm. An early release will ensure that students are not traveling on buses and in the care of a responsible person if they watch the eclipse.
Eclipse timeline for Auburn:
Beginning: 2:18 p.m.
Maximum coverage (97.7%): 3:31 p.m.
Ends: 4:40 p.m.
This is an exciting and unique event, and we want to remind everyone about the importance of viewing the solar eclipse safely. For more information, visit the following websites:
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students.

WAYS WE KEEP STUDENTS SAFE AT AMS
Safety is our first priority. This is why we have high expectations for student behaviors. It is why we train to evacuate and we train for intruders. Every staff member has multiple ways to access administration and are capable of making emergency calls as needed.
All the doors are locked all the time, external and internal
Hard wired phones in each room
