Dodge Traditional Magnet MS
April 2024
Hello Bulldog Families
Our students have been working so hard showing off their incredible year of learning on our AASA State Testing. We are grateful for an incredible team of educators here at Dodge that promote high standards of excellence for our students to achieve their personal best. Thank you for your help getting them to school each day ready to learn! As we wind down the year, there are celebrations coming up!
Join our PAC at Peter Piper Pizza on Wednesday, April 17th from 5PM to 7PM. The homeroom with the most kids present wins a pizza party!
Dodge STEAM Night is on Wednesday, April 24th. Students can enjoy the event from 3PM and families are welcome to join in at 4PM with activities running until 5PM.
Student Council Dance will be on Friday, April 26th. Classes will be on a dance schedule, so that all of our students can participate. Check out the flyers around campus for more information.
Our student musical and stage talents will be showcased in early May. Mr. Crull is seeking support for the dinner that will provide funds for costumes and props. If you are able to assist in managing the donations and preparations, please reach out to Mr. Crull at Richard.crull@tusd1.org.
Here is some information about campus hours.
Remember our campus opens at 7:45am and closes at 4pm. Make sure you have plans for your child's drop-off and pick-up. If a student is not in their class at 8:47am they are marked tardy. Students may only stay after hours if they are registered for an after-school activity. Students may not stay for home games unless with a parent. When scheduling appointments means signing out- your student early, make sure you are here prior to 3:30pm as students cannot be signed out the last 20minutes of the day".
Please remind your students that their cell phones should not be on or out during the school day. You can find more information on devices and consequences for not following the expectations in the Code of Conduct.
Communication is important to us at Dodge; please reach out to us. You can find teacher and staff email addresses on our website. You can also call and leave a message at our offices. We look forward to a great year together!
With gratitude,
Ms. Meneguin

Student Council Kindness Program
Did you know that Dodge has a unique platform for students to report concerns to our staff? On every student's social studies class Clever page there is an icon titled "Bulldog Incident Report Form 2023-2024". This was established last year to allow students to report concerns or make appointments with the counselor, dean or principal. We are always happy to mingle with students throughout the day, but this allows for confidentiality. We are excited to roll out a new form for our students to honor the great things happening at Dodge. "Report Kindness" is another online form that students can use to share someone going above and beyond in acts of kindness. We will then announce students each week to celebrate. Our kids are so amazing and deserve to be recognized!

Drop Off/Pick Up
The bus bay is located at the front of our school on E. Pima St. There is no parent drop-off or pick-up at this location.
Parent drop off/pick up:
To use our main parking lot entrance, follow the flow of traffic around the lot. Students will enter and exit campus through the gate at the north end of the parking lot. Please watch for direction from our staff. It is our goal to get you in and out of the lot as quickly and safely as possible. Cars are not to pass or cut across the parking lot. We realize for the first few days this may be a longer process than usual. We appreciate your cooperation in advance.
We also have access for parent pick up/drop off on the east side of our campus on N. Sahuara Ave. When using this curbside access, we ask that you not have students cross the flow of cars. Instead pull up to the curb for them to safely get into the passenger side of your vehicle.
Dodge Student Dress Code
The dress code aims to help students maintain their appearance within the accepted standards of Dodge Traditional Magnet Middle School. Our staff asks that you review and plan carefully when selecting items for your child. Students will need to call home if they are not in dress code.
CHOICES FOR BOTTOM GARMENTS:
Color/Style:
The dress code includes solid-colored black or Khaki beige Dockers or jeans-style pants, shorts, or skirts made of cotton blends, denim, or corduroy fabrics. All garments must be hemmed. No overalls, ultra-baggy, or pants/shorts with holes are allowed. Belts, if worn, must be secured in loops. Wallet chains must be kept out of sight, i.e., in the pocket of pants or shorts.
Shorts, skorts, skirts, or capris will be no shorter than your fingertips with your hand naturally at your side. Dresses may also be worn if they are the correct length, have sleeves, and are of a modest fit and style. Dresses must be black, Khaki, or a dress code shirt color. Leggings and fish-net stockings are not allowed. No undergarments should be visible. Accessorizing your outfit must not distract the learning environment.
CHOICES FOR TOP GARMENTS:
Color/Style:
The dress code includes solid white, light blue, and dark green polo-style or full button with a short or long sleeve collar. Shirts are to be sized appropriately and long enough to remain tucked in a while standing and sitting. Shirts should not be form-fitting. Undershirts must be white or the color of the outer dress code shirt.
Outer Wear:
No pullover hoodies are allowed. Solid color outerwear or outerwear with college/university logos are allowed. The jacket must be able to be completely open down the front and remains open down the front while in the building.
Consequences:
Any student found to violate the dress code will be asked to change. Repeat violations will result in more severe consequences.
